With such poor education is schools (these days?), I wonder if such monstrous art, which I personally compare  to the force of La Guernica, has a public beyond the few visually literate?
An allegory and a metaphor is not just a snob way of saying something without saying it. I think they hit your brain and numb your cool-intellectual reading of an event, or an experience. Art like this helps you get quiet and have an experience on a spiritual level, one that has no connection with your preconceived ideas and morals. That's when your previous life experience and knowledge of culture contributes objectively.
